TerryGami Washcloth Santa |
TerryGami, 15 Cloth Toy and Ornament Projects for Crafters, Teachers, and Children |
The book is available at:
The Santa ornament involves a bit more sculpting, more so than the other projects in the book, but it is worth the effort. It can be made with any color washcloth to match your decor. I have made mauve, burgundy and green Santas. To hang, just sew a loop gold or silver lamé or yarn or string through the top of the head, and then tie it off. If you are looking for a project in the book that involves a bit more sewing, the Santa is the one.
Once children learn how to sew, they will want to use their new skills and wish there was more to sew. The next book, coming soon, will have animals, fairies and gnomes and will give them something to show off their new skills. By the way, they especially like to make the animals they have to stuff.
Happy Crafting!
